Hove for me. Splash and dash from 2 -3 turned into 4pm and a bit of pressure to close things up at work afterwards!! Good fear factor on the launch at 2, tide still quite high, and no real gauge of wind strength or current as no guinea pigs out there. Made it clean out and stayed out til the end. Swell was nice and chunky, head high further out, but early on it was too deep further in for this to turn into rideable wave every time. Many frustrating runs in where big swell just disappeared. Wicked rip around Dead man's point again making life harder over there. Sounds negative, but actually it was a great session for me. Nicely powered on 5m and small wave board. Plenty of wave riding, often on the shorebreak or on a random peak over towards the kite end. Later a few big berthas broke through the middle way out and had some hefty swoops on the big swell.
